Here I have sketched the cyclists onto the canvas. Having thought about how I am going to tackle this painting I have decided to make it a Mixed Media. I intend to use Acrylic glazes first to indicate the movement and speed of the cyclists followed by oil for the cyclists themselves and the add a bit of oil glazing if needed. ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing this develop Sally, this is one of my favourite sports, I lived in France for a while and watched the Tour as it came through my town.
ReplyDeleteWow! How exciting to have the Tour come through your town! My husband and I plan to visit France during the Tour sometime. We watch it every year without fail on TV! We both have road bikes but usually use them more on our wind trainers rather than on the roads.
