New Pet Portrait Commission

I have begun working on a new Pet Portrait commission of a beautiful chesnut horse and his mistress but as it is to be a surprise gift i am unable to post my WIP on the blog or my website just yet. I also recieved a new Dog (Blue Heeler) Pet Portrait commission yesterday which I will be painting in oils starting next week. The image above is an oil of a blue heeler which I painted last year. I will be able to work on the pastel during the drying times of the oil painting. If you enjoyed this post please consider becoming a follower of my blog. 1. Beautiful portrait. I don't think heelers are common in the UK - probably more suited to an outdoor working life in Australia!

Look forward to seeing progress on the new one

  2. Wonderful, Sally! You captured the intensity and expectation in this Blue's keen intelligent expression. They are such great little dogs. Looking forward to seeing your new commission.
